A large roadside plot of land, and the intention to use 2/3 of it to create 2 identical villas for family rental - that's a brief summary of what kept us busy on this project.
The owner's wish was for the 2 villas to be perfectly coherent, with optimum value for money and traditional construction. The architecture was contemporary, but not ostentatious or conceptual. The choice of a square floor plan with a 4-sloped roof was seen as an easy way of integrating the villas into the site. The light colors blend in perfectly with the environment, and are therefore not provocative.
The interiors were left to the tenants, the owners' daughters, so that each of them could personalize her home to her own taste.
